How to set up a proxy on Android using Wi-Fi settings

This setting is also suitable for Android versions 11 and 12. You do not need Root rights for it, the only thing you need to have is a high-quality personal proxy server.

1. Go to Wi-Fi settings and turn it on.



2. Connect to your network.



3. Open the settings of this network.



4. Find the "Proxy" section (you may have it in the "Advanced Settings" section, depending on the phone model).



5. Select "Manual" mode.



6. In the "Host" field, enter the IP address of your proxy, and in the "Port" field, enter the port of the proxy.



7. Save and exit settings.



8. After installation, go to any browser, where an authorization window will immediately pop up. Enter the Username and Password from your proxy server in the required fields and do not forget to save.

How to turn off proxy on Android

You can disable the proxy in the same way as you configured it:

1. Go to Wi-Fi network settings.
2. In the Proxy section, change the "Manual" mode to "None".

You don't need root rights here. With this application, you will be able to set proxy servers of SOCKS5 and HTTPS types. Download the app and start setting up.

1. Open the application.
2. Go to "Settings".



3. In the "Networks" section, connect to your Wi-Fi network or select a mobile data connection.



4. Here, in the "Hostname" field, enter the IP address of the server, and in the "Port" item, enter the port.







5. Enter the Username and Password of the proxy server below.



6. Select the type of proxy.



7. Return to the home page and click "ON".

You can easily find and download this application on Google Play. But there is a disadvantage: you will need root access.

1. Open the application.
2. Select "Host".



3. Enter the IP address of your proxy server and click OK.



4. Then select "Port" and enter the port.





5. Open the "Proxy Type" section and select the type of your proxy.





6. Check the box next to "Enable Authentication" below.



7. In the fields below, enter the Username and Password of your proxy server.



8. At the top next to the Proxy Switch, move the slider to the "ON" mode.



9. Exit the application. The configuration is finished!
