Proxy SwitchyOmega is a popular free extension for managing proxy servers in the Google Chrome browser. It features an intuitive interface that allows users to switch between proxy servers with just one click. Users can also configure which sites should use IP proxy servers and which should not.

The setup for the plugin consists of two main parts: adding proxy servers to the extension and configuring the rules for using and switching between these proxies.

  1. To add a proxy, click on the plugin icon located in the upper right corner of the browser and select “Options” near the address bar.

  2. In the vertical menu on the left side of the window, under the “Profiles” section, click on “Proxy”. Choose the protocol type from the drop-down menu (http/https/Socks4/Socks5 are supported). Then, in the “Server” and “Port” fields, input the proxy IP address and its port.

  4. The Bypass List allows you to create exceptions by adding website addresses that will not use the proxy. Access to these pages will occur in the standard manner.
